No doubt the natural beauty of Cape Town is unique. The South Africa city also has a variety of shore entries available on both sides of its peninsula. 

The side of False Bay has some of the most impressive, thick kelp forests you'll see. Not only does it creates an unusual environment for exploring, but it's also a refuge for small animals and schools of reef fish. Diving here gives you the chance to encounter numerous nudibranchs, crustaceans, anemones, feather-stars, brittle-stars, sponges, sea-fans, octopuses and cuttlefish. And let's not forget the many species of interesting fish along the way. 

On our shore entry dives, you'll visit plenty of fascinating scuba diving locations in Cape Town. Your dives will range from diving through the enchanting Kelp Forests and scuba diving with Spotted Seven Gill Cow Sharks to exploring sunken wrecks and exploring colorful reefs. 

For your peace of mind, we only conduct all our shore dives in calm, pristine conditions. Additionally, excessive swimming is not a requirement to ensure you'll maximize the enjoyment of diving from our magnificent shoreline.

A Thrilling Shore Diving Adventure In Cape Town 

Cape Town may not be famous around the globe for shore diving, but it has so much more to offer to scuba divers. Its diverse coastline makes it one of the most exciting diving destinations in the world, offering amazing experiences. 

Diving around the Cape is a bit challenging. Its water temperature tends to vary between cold and pretty cold, and at times visibility can be poor. However, on a good day is where the magic happens, and you'll find that it's so worth it to take on the challenge. Very few divers are fortunate enough to witness a great white shark when scuba diving and attacks are so rare it's almost non-existent. 

Wearing the appropriate drysuit or wetsuit during extreme conditions can solve the cold problems. But don't worry, the False Bay waters are warmer compared to those on the Atlantic side. This side of the Peninsula also offers some of the most incredible dive sites you'll ever experience. Not only will you witness a lot of big cow sharks from the shore, but you'll have a chance to dive with seals as well as explore various world-class wrecks in the bay.

Tour Details

• We'll pick you up from your Cape Town hotel and head on to the V&A Waterfront. 
• Proceed and meet at the dive shop to complete some paperwork and to check dive cards.
• After trying on your scuba equipment, we'll pack your gear on the Rib and head off with our team to the dive site.

• MPA Diving Permit (Marine Protected Area) – valid for 1 month. Certified dive guide.
