Training and Certification Overview:
The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the heart of the instructor training process. And no doubt the Instructor certification is one of the most sought after and valuable qualifications in the diving industry.
During your IDC training, you will apply your diving skills and knowledge to ready you in teaching the PADI system in the classroom, confined water (pool), and open water. Your instructor trainer Daniel has extensive experience in the field and one of the best out there. He has also met strict educational proficiency requirements and conducts all IDC’s.
Your PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) will consist of the following training phases:
- Assistant Instructor (AI) Program
- Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) Program
A two-day Instructor Examination (IE) conducted by PADI Worldwide will then follow the IDC. All of these come together with the PADI Specialty instructor training. The completion of your training phase may be met by taking either an Instructor Development Course (AI) plus (OWSI), or by completing the programs individually as it suits you. However, we highly recommend that you complete the IE as soon as possible after the OWSI program.
NOTE: THE PADI INSTRUCTOR EXAMINATION (IE) IS THE EVALUATION PHASE OF THE PADI IDC AND ARE RUN BY PADI OFFICE STAFF. CANDIDATES WHO HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED AN IDC SHOULD ENROL IN A PADI IE (INDEPENDENT EXAM).
